Description

Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that uses a thin, lighted tube with a camera (laparoscope) to examine the inside of the abdomen and pelvis. This procedure can be both diagnostic and therapeutic and is often used to diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions. During a laparoscopy, the surgeon makes small incisions in the abdomen and inserts the laparoscope through one of the incisions to visualize the pelvic organs.
